Catch up time...

I decided that it is about time that I catch up on my pictures a day. I have been doing pretty good...I did miss Memorial day. But that is alright.

May 22:

I just think that Emerson looks really cute when he cries. I think that it is sad but he still is super cute.
May 23:

Today I decided that I will finally fulfill many requests and put up a picture of me.

Before Emerson was born, I looked around at all sorts of photographer's galleries and I saw one like this with a little tiny baby. I always wanted to get one, but I always thought about it when it was too dark outside, so I finally ot one. Emerson is a lot bigger than I wanted him to be in this picture, but I still really like it.

May 25:

We love Emerson's swing he is so sweet in it. He loves to go to sleep in there. I made that blanket he is holding so he would have something other than a burp cloth to hold and suck on. He loves it. He grabs it with both hands and puts the soft side up to his face and falls asleep with it. It is really cute, but I think that I am going to have to make more so he doesn't get attached to just the one blanket. That can cause problems :)

May 26:

I took a break on Memorial Day. Well I actually had my camera all day, but I just never got it out. Memorial day was really fun. We went to IKEA for the first time. I love that place. I want to go again soon. Then Emily, Emerson, and I went to the outlet malls and the fabric store while the husbands went and saw "Iron Man". Then we went back to Emily and Lyle's to have a barbque and play games. It was a pretty fun day.

May 27:

It is a miracle that I was able to get a picture of Emerson not crying or sleeping today. I think that he is starting to teethe, so he gets pretty upset. He is sucking on Emily's hand...YUMMY!

HAPPY BITHDAY NATALIE! I hope that you had a great birthday.

So yesterday, I didn't fulfill my photo a day, but I feel that it is alright because I have taken so many pictures every other day. But I still wanted to give you a picture for the 20th, so here one is...

This is a fulfillment of two differnt requests. Emily wanted a picture of Emerson's long hair along his neckline and Amy said she wanted a booty shot. So here is both.

May 19:
Emily gave Emerson some black and white cards with little animals on them. I think that they are so cute. Emerson loves to do the cards with Daddy. They were the first things that we could definately tell that Emerson was looking at.
I love this picture. I think that Emerson looks like a big boy in it. Like he is showing off some of his art work or something.

May 16th: Happy 3 Months!

I can't believe that my baby is a quarter of a year old. He is growing so quickly. Sometimes I look over at him and it shocks me how much bigger he is.

Emerson's stats (a rough at home estimate):
Height: 24 inches (50%)
Weight: 13.5 lbs (just above 50%)
Things about Emerson:

• He loves sucking on his hands.
• Swaddling calms him down but then he gets out of it so he can suck on his hand.
• He still nurses a lot, but he takes bottles with breast milk. This way Daddy can feed sometimes :)
• He loves to smile.
• He loves to be apart of the crowd, so he loves sitting in his Bumbo.
• He loves to move...so thank goodness for the weing and vibrating chair.
• He makes such sweet cooing sounds.
• He just got moved into his crib!
• He sleeps most nights all the way through. Sometimes he has a feeding, but I think that he likes his sleep more than eating...he is mommy's boy!
• He grabs things. I made him a little blanket (pictures to come), so he would stop grabbing and sucking on his burp clothes.
• He has a HUGE HUGE HUGE belly. (As you can kind of see in the picture above.)
• He wears 0-3 month clothes (except for gerber onesie's which he wears 3-6)
• He is in size 1 diapers.
• He is the BEST baby boy for our family to have right now.
• He is so loved by is parents!!!!

We were sitting on the ground playing a game tonight, so we put Emerson in his Bumbo. Then he started to fall asleep, but it looked uncomfortable, so he put the little pillow there. So this is how he fell asleep this night. We think that it is so cute that he uses the sides as little arm rests.

May 15th

So Emerson has become Mr. Slobber Machine. I usually sit and wipe them off all day long and especially before I take pictures. But I decided that I should at least get one picture to show what he does. He likes to make bubbles and have them just sit on his lips until they are wiped off. I think that it is kind of cute, but Jason can't stand it. If Jason gets slobber on him he freaks out. Obviously he hasn't been pooped on yet...once that happens nothing is gross anymore.

Anyway, here is Emerson:

May 13 and 14

May 13:

Here is one of Emerson's new things. He loves holding fingers. He has always done it, but lately once he has a hold of it, you wont get it back for a while.

May 14:

Today was so nice. The sun was out and the tempurture was great. So, for cub scouts, we went a nd did a service project of picking up trash at a near by school. While the boys were picking up trash, I snapped some pictures of Emery. Here is my favorite one.

I will get up today's soon...hopefully. I just need to think of a picture to take. If there are any suggestions I will love to have them!

May 10, 11, and 12

May 10:
Emerson has this new thing with sticking his legs straight up in the air. We think that it is really cute especially when he does it swaddled. I love how he looks like he is posing for this picture.

May 11:

Despite the fact that he is sleeping in this picture, Emerson decided that mother's day was going to be the day that I was going to have to mother the most during the day. He was awake by 5 and didn't really sleep well during the day. The main times that he slept was when Jason was taking care of him.

Mother's Day was a great day other than the lack of sleep. I didn't really have to do anything we just layed in bed and watched TV which is my favorite thing to do. Emerson (well Jason) bought me some hershey's bliss chocolates. They are so good.

Anyways, here Emery is taking his Sunday nap before church.

May 12:

I love how this picture turned out. I love that you can see his spit on the pacifer. Emerson is such a sweet little sleeper.

May 8th and 9th

May 8th:

Emerson loves his mobile. It plays classical music. When it stops, he gets so mad until we start it up again. I love that the music is something that I can stand listening to over and over.
May 9th:

Today has been a pretty hard day for Emery. We first went to Jason's work because today is his last day working at this building and he was really good there. Then we went shopping and he was good then too. But then when we got home all he wanted to do was cry. Then he would finally fall asleep, but almost 5 minutes later would wake up screaming. We have repeated this cycle over and over today. He has his first diaper rash which could be a part of it. But since I can't calm him down until he falls asleep, then I decided that today's photo will be of him crying. I know that it is kind of sad, but the point of the photo a day is to capture the mood of the day. So here is the photo...(I still think that he looks really cute though he is screaming)...

Emerson loves sleeping in his car seat. We just put him in and most the time he falls asleep almost immediately.
Yesterday for our anniversary Jason brought home tulips. They are so cool because of the rigid ends that they have. We also went out to eat at our favorite...Outback! Overall, it was a wonderful anniversary.

Happy Anniversary

Today is me and Jason's 3rd Anniversary. I can't believe that it has already been 3 years. It has really gone by quickly...even though it seems like we have been together forever. I have been extremely lucky to have such a wonderful husband as Jason is. I love him so much and I know that he loves me. I am especially grateful to him for all his hard work in making it so this little family can have all that we need and a lot of what we want. I love that he is such a wonderful father. He loves Emerson so much and takes such good care of him. Though he took me away from all my family, I am still happy because I have him here with me.

I love you Jason so much and can't wait for another 3 years with you and much longer after that.

May 4th and 5th

May 4th:

This weekend Emily was at our house while Lyle was visiting his brothers. Since she was here, we decided to take advantage of having a photographer instead of a tripod and a running photographer hoping to get in the picture (like most of our together pictures). So here are two of our family pictures that I loved: Which one do you like more?

We played around with Emerson too. This was his first time really going outside for a longer period of time then going from a building to the car. I think that he liked it. Though afterwards he slept for a long time.
These are the picture that I got for the day. I love how they turned out.
May 5:

Today we aren't really doing anything, so I don't have much to take a picture of. So, here is Emerson in the bath. Today he learned about splashing his legs. He made such a mess because he wouldn't stop kicking his legs once he started. It was really cute, but I think that I am going to start to put a lot less water in hopes of a little less mess.

We went to a ward party. It was a Mexican Fiesta. Here is a picture of Emerson waiting for me to take him.
Jason took part of a Jalapeno eating contest. He was peer pressured into it and he said that he was only going to eat one, but they decided to put more on his plate, just in case. So here is his plate before:

Needless to say, he won...eating the least amount of Jalapenos.

All of the sudden today Emerson started grabbing at things. It was pretty amazing the look on his face when he saw the puzzle piece and relized that he could grab onto it.
