It's Christmas time!

I know that it has been a long time since I have updated. I am sorry about that. Not much is going on in my life right this second. Just work and sewing a lot. I just got a new sewing machine!!! I am so stinking excited about that.
I went baby shopping this week and got a couple new outfits for the baby. I think that baby girl clothes are the cutest! Here is what I got and I want to go back and get tons more!
We set up Christmas this year--even though we only get to enjoy it for three weeks. Here are some of our pictures of Christmas. I didn't like any of the shots that I got of the full tree, so you just get to see parts.

I hope that every one has a great day and a wonderful Christmas season!

Happy Birthday Deano and Happy Halloween!

Well. I was thinking that it was about time that I put up a couple pictures of our new house! We finally got in on the 17th--which officially made the past 5 months the longest months EVER! We are so excited that we are finally here.

I am hoping to be able to get more pictures when I get the rooms unpacked. It is a long process, but I am enjoying every minute of it. I hope that everyone has a great halloween!

Final Walk Through

Well, today we are going to our final walk through!!! I can not believe that it is finally here. We are so excited. They have set the "official" closing date to be October 13 , but we are going to try to push that up. I just want to let you all know what is going on.

Falling into place...

There has been a lot of things fall into place the past week. We found out that we can FINALLY schedule the inspection for our house. So that is going to be tomorrow! We are hoping to be moved in by next weekend. I can not wait!!!! I am so sick of living in temporary housing. The owners drive me INSANE! Anyway... I will let everyone know when we finally get an official closing date...hopefully tomorrow.

This week we got the 2nd Season of Desperate Housewives from the library, so we...I mean I...only have 7 days to watch it, so that is like all I have been doing this week.

We are planning a trip some where for the end of October and beginning of November. I just don't know where I want to go. We were thinking going to LA and playing around there. The way that we would get there is by train. We thought that would be fun, but then we started to think that it would be fun to go visit our friends in Idaho. So, we might be doing that. There are some other options too, but I just don't know.

In other news:

I hope that everyone's life is going great! I think that is all for today.

A Little Update...

Well...yesterday we had a meeting with the builder's agent and we walked through our house. The agent told us that it is going to be a couple more weeks and definately by the end of September we will be able to move in. We are going to have another meeting next Thursday and at that time we should have a closing date and schedule our inspections. I can not wait for it all to be done. While we were walking through the house they were putting on our granite counter tops and putting the tile up in the bathroom shower. It is going to be a GORGEOUS home when it is done.

The people that we are living with just bought a new house, so it looks like we are going to have to be moving over there this week. I wish that they could have waited just a couple more weeks.

This week I am working everday, but Tuesday. On Tuesday I am going to the dentist--much needed--and then to "Wicked". It is going to be a good day.

At work we just got a new product in that is so cool. It is for all the quilters out there. It is called a fabric mover. It makes it so free motion stippling is so much easier...once you get the hang of it. No more pushing and pulling fabrics :)

In the scrapbooking world...

I have spent a couple of days working on these quick pages available at A Cherry on Top and Shelby's Design Shoppe.

I also started a new paper pack and I will get it up here as a freebie soon :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday, so as promised here is a great new kit that I have been working on. It is my first attempt on elements so it is a little rudimentary, but I still like it. .

The only plans that I have for today is to go to Red Robin with Jason. I hope that it will get a little more exciting than that, but I doubt it. The only thing that would make today the best is if Jason would take me to a hotel tonight and get me out of this place for at least for a night. This morning, the people we are living with turned on their country music full blast and started singing to it...thy do not have the voices to sing---especially that loud---and especially that early in the morning. I just thought that it was so disrespectful. Anyway---off my tangent.
I hope that everyone has a great day!

One more day until...

MY BIRTHDAY!

I am so excited. I am going to be 22. I know not a very exciting birthday, but it just means that I can say that I am one year older.

Come by tomorrow to celebrate by picking up a new kit that I am putting together.

Well. I had an awesome time in Utah. It was great seeing my sisters and mom. I wish that Natalie, Dean, and my Dad could have been there. That would have been all the better. I also wish that I could have been there longer. It would have been fun to be able to see all my Uncles, Aunts, cousins, and friends. Hopefully, I get out there again soon! Then I will be able to spend more time with people.

House love:
We went by last weekend and they have finally painted and put up our base boards. The door frames are all up, but not all the doors are on their hindges. I think that if they keep going at this rate we will be into our house by the beginning of September. I can not wait to get out of this little tiny hole in the wall and into our beautiful own home!

A bit of scrapbooking love:
There is an awesome challenge up at Jessica Sprague's Blog--->

Here is what I did for it:

I used Lauren Grier's "Punky Mom: Kit for these. I just love the colors in this kit.

The font is "Nasty" in Sue and Jason's LO.

The font is Texas Hero in This Love's LO.

Here is another LO that I did today:

This one is using Lauren Grier and Robin Carlton's "Fudge Dream Supreme" Kit.

Happy Day!

Well...I got to take a shower today! It is not completely dont, but they put up plastic around the walls, so we could shower. I think that it was the best, most awaited shower I have ever had. it even beat anytime that I went camping...at least when you camp you are not the only one that stinks.

In other news....I am going to Utah next week. My sisters and mom are going to be there (except for Natalie...I wish you were there). I am so excited.

Frustration!

We got another update on our house this week. We were supposed to be into our house on June 15th, then the middle of July. Then at the beginning of July, they decided to be on the safe side they are going to have us sign a contract saying that our closing date will be on or before August 1st. As you can tell---it is August 1st and it is STILL not done. Now they are saying that it is going to be the first part of September. So maybe we will be in by Christmas.

I am so excited to get out of temporary housing and into my own home. The people we are staying with decided that they needed to change there shower/tub area. So on Saturday night---like 11:30---they came and told us that they are going to be starting this project tomorrow morning. So when we woke up the next morning, the shower was gone and now we have no where to shower. I STINK. I have been washing my hair in the sink and sponge bathing, but it is not the same. I just don't feel as clean. In my house, I am going to have 2 showers and 3 toilets...I am so excited! I won't have to worry about this crap that is going on.

Sorry, but I just had to vent. On the bright side, I sold my first sewing machine this weekend. I am excited about that. It started as a bad situation---but it all got worked out---so now I am happy.

Thanks for sitting through my venting...I am just frustrated!

Layouts

Here are a couple of layouts that I did today:

Fabrics

Well, I went shopping this week for fabrics. There is a little store taking all of their fabric out, so I went and stalked up on a bunch of fabrics for different projects that I want to do. I am so excited for them all.

Here are the fabrics I got:

This is for a fourth of July quilt that I want to do. I was freezing at the fireworks, and I thought that it would be way fun to make a quilt for fireworks and picnics!

These are for skirts.

And these are for PJ Bottoms. I also got some prints for baby blankets, but they aren't photographic. They must be shy or something (just kidding), but none of the pictures would show of their beauty.

Fireworks

I hope that everyone had a great fourth! Jason and I went to the Oak Hills's fireworks. It was so much fun. We went and had a picnic and played cards and bocce ball. I did get really cold at night. We forgot about that, and we were not prepared--so we froze. The fireworks were worth it though! A half an hour straight one right after another! It was so cool. I love seeing fireworks!

Here are a couple pictures we got while we were waiting!

Furniture!

Yesterday, we went to JcPenney's Furniture store and bought some fun things! We are so excited...now when we move into our house, it is all going to have furniture!!!

Here are some pictures of them: (not very good...took them off my cell phone.)

This is oour table, but it can be put into a rectangle. It will also have 6 chairs. It is going to be a dark brown too.

This is the sofa--SO comfy! It is going to be a sage color. We also got a love seat to go with it. I can't wait to get into our house and be able to have this furniture in our house!

A Few Things

So, I get to go to Hairspray tonight! I am so excited! We are going to get tickets to Wicked this week. I determined that it is all to celebrate Emily moving back to Atlanta from New York City. We are all going to miss having a New Yorkern Sister!

Work is going great! I just love my job. It is fun learning about what machines do what. I have fallen in love with this machine. It is the Designer I. It has all the bell and whistles. It will do embroidery and quilting. It is great!!!

However, to be more reasonable, I will probably get this one:

It is the Platinum 775. It does everything that I would want it to do exept the embroidery. And it will save me thousands of dollars. But it is still nice to dream.

I want to say congrats to my sister, Natalie. I got an email from her this week with this picture in it.

I am so excited to have another Baby Putnam in our family!

Here is another layout that I did for Heather's CT Call. It wasn't required, but I still thought that it was fun.

I GOT A JOB!

Well, Viking Sewing called me up today and offered me a job with them!!! I start on Friday. Very soon. But it is going to be fun. I already know the ladies pretty well just from going and looking around JoAnn's. Anyway...I just thought that I should let every one know!!!

Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Just a quick Update

Well, I have had two job interviews in the past week. YEAH! I might get a job. I interviewed with JoAnn's and with Viking Sewing Machines. I don't know which job I would want. They both will be fun, but they are both at nights and weekends. I think that I have JoAnn's convinced to not make me work Sundays though...maybe.

I have been just really doing layouts galore the past couple of weeks. I am on tons of creative teams, so I have to keep up with all the beautiful kits that I am getting! Here are some of the layouts that I have done.

Papers are Alma Townsend's "Girly" Kit. Swirls are Rhonna Rarrer's.

The paper is 2bscrapped's "New Beginnings" Kit.

The kit is "Real Beauty" 2BScrapped's Charity Kit. This is for a ABC book of special things in my life!

The kit is Michelle Bradley's "Young Love" kit.

The kit is Bev Oloughlin's "John's Closet" Kit

That is pretty much what is going on with me right now. I hope that everyone is doing great!
