Zoo Time

Emerson loves animals, so we decided to take him to the zoo to see them. He had the time of his life there. He "ooo"ed at so many different animals. We went to a bird show and he loved watching the birds. But his favorite thing by far was climbing on the stone animals.

Feeding Himself

I let Emerson feed himself with a spoon for the first time today. He loved it, but he most definately needed a bath afterward.

Cruising Alaska: Day 8 Seattle

We make it back to Seattle early in the morning on day 8. We ate breakfast, got off the boat and headed home to see Emerson. It was such a relaxing fun vacation. I loved Alaska. It is so beautiful. I would love to make it back there someday and maybe to a different part. It is such a HUGE state, so much more to see.

Cruising Alaska: Day 7 Victoria BC Canada

On day 7, we went to our last Port: Victoria, Canada. It is so beautiful there.

While in Victoria, we went to the butterfly gardens. They were really cool. They had some really cool butterflies there and some other fun animals.
After the Butterflies, we went to Butchard Gardens. They were so pretty.
After getting back on the ship, we watched the movie Seven Pounds. That was really good. It was really slow, but good.
At dinner tonight, all the cooks and waiters sang us a song. That was pretty fun.
Tonight, we had to get everything ready to go. Then, we went to one final night of Derek's Kamakazi Karaoke. It was a really fun ending to the cruise.

Cruising Alaska: Day 6 At Sea

Today we took it quite easy. We slept in and then just hung around on deck. We played some trivia and ate quite well. It was a lazy but VERY relaxing day.

We went to a "Love and Marriage" game show this evening that was really funny. It was just like the newly wed show but with three couples in different stages of their marriages. I was really cute.

Cruising Alaska: Day 5 Tracy Arm Fjord

Day five was glaicer day. We woke up at 6 this morning to watch us sail into the Fjord. Wehn we got out there at 6:30, we were already in the Fjord and apparently have been there for a couple hours. We don't know why we got there so early, but at least we were able to still go out and see the glacier. Talk about beautiful. The captain spun us around in circle a few times, and then started to head out.
We stayed out for a few hours. It was really amazing scenery.
While we were leaving we even got to see a couple whales. That was awesome.

We went back inside at 11:30 and decided to go get lunch. After lunch, I went back to the room to take a much needed nap and Jason went to an ice carving demonstration and then went and watched us cruise along.
After my nap, Jason and I went to a Partner Massage class. I really wanted to do some spa treatment, and we decided that this is the best because we could learn techniques that we could use later. It was so nice.
We then went and played Trivia. That was fun, but everytime we played, we always lost by only one point. It was kind of annoying.
The show tonight was before dinner. It was Billy Richards' Coasters. It was fun, but definatly geared to the older crowd because the only song that I have ever heard that they sang was "Yackidy Yack". After the show we went to dinner, then to a "Adult scanvenger hunt". That started out pretty clean, but by the end they were wanting more questionable items. It was pretty funny seeing what someone would do for a keychain.
After the hunt, we stopped on by the Kamakazi Karaoke by Derek again. It was just as fun as the night a couple days ago. We decided to call it a night at about 1:30 in the morning.

Cruising Alaska: Day 4 Skagway, Alaska

Over night we sailed to Skagway. Talk about a pretty little town. All the mountains everywhere is gorgeous!

We decided to stay on the ship until lunch and then get off and do our things.
We took a train ride up into the White Pass for most of the day. That was beautiful. Pictures are in the next post.
After the train ride, we walked around the little town. It is a cute older looking town. It even has the wooden boardwalk like sidewalks.
On the way back to the boat, we found a sign that said Skagway on it...like the only one that we could find. But the funny part was that it was for a RV camping area. The whole mountain side next to where the ship dock, they had all these painting of the ships that have docked there through the years. We couldn't find the Rhapsody of the Seas, but we know that it was on there somewhere.
However, we did find one called Jason. So of course we had to take a picture.
When we got back to our room, we found a monkey hanging there. Too cute!
After dinner, and before the show we were going to, I decided that I wanted to go up onto deck to watch us sail out. There was a different ship there with us and they sailed out first. I thought that it was really pretty sailing out there.
After watching us sail out, we went to the show. I was excited for it because it was all country. But I think that they ruined some songs for me. I think that some songs just need to be left alone.
After the show, we decided to go back up on deck to watch the sunset. We were the only ones up there because it was freezing, but it was so pretty! The colors were gorgeous...this picture doesn't do it justice. After the sunset, we decided to call it a night because it had been a long day.
