Christmas

We had such a great Christmas this year. We celebrated Christmas the 24th because we had an early flight out on the 25.

Emerson is to the age that he is excited for gifts. He loved opening presents, but he didn't want to do them all at once. It would have been my dad's dream Christmas because we would open one and then play with it for a little while before moving one. It was pretty much an all day even...plus he had a few to open after we got home from North Carolina.
He loved sitting on this blanket that Natalie made for him to open and play with all his gifts. It was so cute. If we put it to the side, he would move it onto the blanket.
I hope that all Christmas's turn out being as great as this one was. I have such a great little family to spend it with.

Many Faces of Emerson

I needed some pictures of Emerson for a project that I am working on for Christmas. During the photo shoot I was bribing him with fruit snacks. I thought that it didn't work very well because he was being terrible for the whole thing. However as I was downloading all the pictures to me delight I got a whole series of emotions captured. I think that this is my favorite series of Emerson pictures just for the variety of emotions that I got...though really it was him mad at me most the time. Enjoy the faces of Emerson!

Christmas Tree

I just love my Christmas Tree. The first thing I do in the morning is run down and turn on its lights so I can see the beauty of it every time I walk down stairs. I is just so fun having it up...which is why it didn't go down until February last year...maybe this year we will make it March! I was really worried about Emerson and the Christmas tree this year, but he has been great. He has one ornament that he is allowed to touch and take off the tree, but that is the only one he is ever interested in.

Every year we try to add some ornament that was an important thing that happened that year. So the most exciting thing that we did this year was our cruise to Alaska. We decided that that is really two important things, so we bought an ornament for both our first cruise and for making it to Alaska. I really love our new additions to our tree!

Isn't that moose the cutest?

Happy Birthday Jason!!!

Today is Jason's 28th Birthday!
This is the fifth birthday that I have been able to spend with him. The first birthday, five years ago, was just after we started dating. I knew that I really liked him, but we still hadn't said I love you or even kissed at that point. It was actually only 2 weeks after we started dating. So, I decided that I was going to heart attack him and on each heart put a reason that I LIKE him.

So, this year I decided to continue on this heart attack, just why I love him instead of just like.

28 Reasons Why I Love You:

1. You cuddle and watch TV with me.
2. You teach Emerson so much.
3. You let me do my hobbies--including buying the items for them part.
4. You wil take care of Emerson when I just need a break.
5. You make dinner quite often and never complain about it.
6. You work hard for us.
7. You give us all we need at a lot of what we just want.
8. You pay all the bills on time.
9. You make all the phone calls that I don't want to make.
10. You keep clean.
11. You unload the dishwasher to help me out.
12. You will rub my back when I have a headache.
13. You don't complain about my messes.
14. You have a great smile and laugh.
15. You build an awesome computer.
16. You are with me through it all--especially this fertility process.
17. You make sure we pray together.
18. You love me.
19. You are a great Dad and Emerson wants to be just like you.
20. You put Emerson to bed every night.
21. You are modivated to accomplish every goal you have put in front of you.
22. You have a great testimony and you bring it into our home.
23. You love games and don't complain when I always win.
24. You buy me gifts out of our price range because you know I will love it.
25. You play blocks and chase with Emerson.
26. You help me be a better person.
27. You rarely talk bad about anyone.
28. You are just you!
...and that it why I love you!
I hope that you have a great birthday!!!!

Changing Dates

I do change my dates on my blog. I have many people think that they are crazy, but you are not. I just like to have the right date when I post my entries. That is why I go weeks without blogging then all of the sudden those weeks are full of posts.

The way that I do it is underneath the text section of the editor of the new blog post there is a "Post options" button. Click on that and there is a box that has Post date and time. Just change the date there. I am pretty sure that you can use this for future posts as well. Just put in when you want tthe post to publish and then it will at that time...I am not sure if that works, but it would be cool if it does!

I hope that eases some of your feelings of craziness and helps you that would like to be able to make others feel crazy!

Rawr...Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

We had a great one! Emerson was the cutest little lion ever. He had so much fun in his costume. Once is was on he just went wild and didn't really stop until it was destroyed and off. He loved trck or treating. He walked with all the other kids in the rain and through the mud and huge puddles. He carried his bucket the whole time too. It was really a lot of fun even if he wouldn't stop going even for one picture!
Now onto enjoying the spoils!

Cheese!

Emerson learned how to say cheese when it comes to taking pictures. But only when he is on the picture taking side of it. Today, he picked up some binoculars and started saying "cheese". It was super cute! But he won't do it for the camera alone yet.

Padawan Emerson

The whole reason that I went to Atlanta this month was to go to Dean's Star Wars 5th birthday party. It turned out super fun. Emerson loved it too...especially the light saber.
At first Emerson loved the bouncer, but then he didn't like it. I don't know what happened, but he just all of the sudden didn't like it anymore.

I think that Emerson is the most handsome Padawan there is!

Thanks Natalie for inviting us to the great party!

Piano Man

Emerson loves the paino. If there is a piano in sight the first thing he does is sits on the bench and then pounds on the keys. It is really cute, yet obnoxious...as are a lot of things these days.

Temple

We were over by the temple today, so we decided to go walk around. There we a bunch of weddings going on, so we didn't have many places to walk. We were able to walk around the fountain and enjoy the beautiful temple grounds. I love taking Emerson to the temple even if it is just the grounds to enjoy the beauty of it.

"Pumpkin Patch"

My friend, Stephanie, and I went to the Outlet mall, and they had a bunch of really cute pumpkin displays. We decided that this might be the closest we will get to a pumkin patch this year since I was leaving to Atlanta soon. So we took some pictures of the kids with the cute displays. Emerson just LOVED playing on the displays.
